Parish Religious Education
Family Faith Formation Preschool-8th Grade
Sacred Heart of Mary is a place for you and your family to grow in your Catholic Faith. One of the ways you can do that is through our Parish Religious Education Classes. We offer classes for kids from Pre-K to Adult.
Breakdown: Pre-K - 8th grade plus the parents will meet once a month. The children will go to their assigned classrooms where they will be taught by one or two of our catechists. While the children are in their classrooms, the parents will congregate for their own Parent Session. Within this session, an adult catechist will teach on a topic from the Catechism. The parents will learn how to teach two lessons to their children within the month. Additionally, we will have Family Community events to enhance our Family Faith Formation program. First Communion Classes will meet weekly.
First Communion:
– First Communion Year I starts in the first grade. Students must complete FC I with decent attendance and knowledge of prayers before beginning First Communion Year II.
– First Communion Year II begins in the second grade and only after a child completes FC I
How to Sign Up: Attend one of our Registration Days or sign up the day classes begin. Registration fee is $20.
