Office hours are Tuesdays 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. (It is best that you call before coming to the office to ensure someone is here as things come up from time to time or office/church errands have to be done.) PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please keep our First Communicants in your prayers as they finish their final week of preparation to receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time on Saturday, April 27th at the 6:00 pm Mass.

A PLANNING MEETING FOR THE LADIES LUNCHEON TEA will be on Sunday, April 28th at 2:00 pm in the Annex. If you would like to be a table hostess or attend the tea, please contact Patty Seibold at 452-8421.

Share your pictures of Fr. Peter us! Pictures of him throughout the years at Sacred Heart should be emailed to the church office no later than April 28th.

Join us for a "Farewell Party" for Fr. Peter Le, on Sunday, May 5th, after the 12:00 pm Mass (approximately 1:00 pm). We need a headcount for food so please RSVP on the form in the back of the church or email the Church office.  

There will not be weekday Vietnamese Masses or Confessions April 22-26  

PRAYER CHAIN REQUEST AND UPDATES—If you would like to  request/receive prayer requests & updates, send your e-mail to Janice at jlocknar@shmbarling.org. Please pray for the welfare of all parishioners, visiting worshipers and their families. Pray for all silent prayer requests and continue to pray for all  of those on our long-term prayer lists. A full list of names on the long-term prayer list is available on our website at www.shmbarling.org. Please help us keep our prayer list current. If you know someone on the list that needs to be removed, please contact the Church office. Our prayer list will be cleared every 2 months. If you would like to keep a loved one on the list any longer, please contact the church office.

2024 CATHOLIC ARKANSAS SHARING APPEAL is underway. We ask that you prayerfully welcome this opportunity to give in support of overall needs of the Church in our Diocese. Sacred Heart of Mary parish Goal is $22,500. Sts. Sabina and Mary Parish Goal is $10,300.

DIVINE MERCY ADORATION CHAPEL UPDATE: Adorers are needed on Saturdays at 7:00 am. There are also some times that need a prayer partner to share that hour. Substitutes are also needed for all hours. Please note: due to allergies, fresh flowers are not allowed in the chapel.

Register:  Please remember to register if you are new to the parish or been attending for some time. Introduce yourself to our pastors. We may not know each of you by name, but when a hospital chaplain, nursing home, or rehab facility calls for a visit or a funeral home calls to schedule a funeral, it helps us know who is a member. You may be receiving our email, but that does not mean you are registered.  If you don't want to let your other parish know you have moved, WE can do that awkward task for you. There are registration forms in the church entry, you can pick one up, fill it out and return in the collection or come by the church office in person or request one by email or call the office.  We currently have 419 families and over 1000 members.

Mass Time & Intentions can be found on the website at shmbarling.org.  In an effort to help everyone find it, I will attempt to remember to put it on the calendar that will show up in myParish app. Click on the calendar icon and then the Mass and it will show you the intention.  Always click on the calendar to verify Mass.  I am finding that when there isn't Mass, it will show up in the "Next Mass" section on the app, that is coming from the Mass times entered in the app for our normal schedule.  If a priest is out of town and there is not a Mass, it will be reflected on the "Calendar".

REGULAR PARISH EVENTS:

Tuesdays at 10am, Line Dancing in the parish Hall. Come join this fun group as Joan Becker leads the group through the steps of various line dances. (You don't have the dance the whole time. Just come have a good time!) Everyone is invited!

Coffee and Donuts (usually the 1st Sunday of the month)— after the 10:00 am Mass. Join us in the parish hall for coffee and donuts with parishioners and visitors. Please check enewsletter and Evangelus messages for updates/changes.

1st Sunday of the Month—Knights of Columbus meets at 5;00 pm in the white house across from the church.

1st Tuesday of the Month, Our Lady of the Precious Blood Rosary Group, meets at 1:30pm in the church.

CLEAN WATER, PARISH WIDE PROJECT, SHM & SSM—Our hope is to have 100 parishioners donate $10/month to raise $1000 monthly to send to Cross Catholic to help provide clean water sources in poor, rural areas of Africa by funding drilling and installation of pumps. Water impacts a family’s health, efficiency, education, and economic progress.  HOW TO GIVE: ONLINE: Go to the parish website, shmbarling.org, click on “GIVE” and select which parish. Once on the Abundant site, SHM Select “contributions” and SSM select “stewardship.”  Write in the memo section “CC Water Wells” CHECK: PLEASE make a notation that the $10 is for “CC Water Wells.” You can either drop it in the collection or mail it to the office. Feel free to donate more than $10 a month, or a one-time donation.  Contributions will be sent to Cross Catholic as a parish. Your tax-deductible gift will help empwer Catholic leaders to transform lives. Water is a gift from God, and with your help, we can deliver this life-saving gift!

STAY INFORMED BY CHOOSING HOW YOU YOU RECEIVE INFORMATION!   We now have "My Parish App". and "Evangelus" available to the parish.  

       "myParish" app allows you to follow all the news at both parishes. You can view the parish calendar, find the bulletin, find daily readings, see/send prayer requests, and so much more.  To get the app on your phone download the "myParish" App. Or  you can text "app" to 55321 ("Reply STOP to opt out, standard message and data rates may apply. For more information, visit Evangelus.com/about.") Once you download the app, select/search for "Sacred Heart of Mary", select as your favorite.  

       If you would like to receive the information via text message or email, you will need to join the parish Evangelus platform, go to eva.us/shm to join.  This will allow you to choose to receive emails or text messages or both. You need to add your information: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, E-Mail and Birth Date (REQUIRED to join groups).  This determines how you will receive info within the groups you join in myParish App.  

     Evangelus is the main platform that we will send out communications.  Those who don't have the app will be able to receive email sent through this platform.  Or choose to receive texts.  If you belong to a group it may be best to download the app to get the most up to date info.  Please feel free to contact Janice and make an appointment to come in for assistance.
