Confirmation

Confirmation Year 1: If you have completed the 8th grade then you are eligible to sign up for our Confirmation Year 1 program. These students will meet Sundays at 11am, following the PRE schedule.

Confirmation Year 2: If you were in Confirmation Year 1 last year and have completed your 9th-grade year, then you are eligible to sign up for our Confirmation Year 2 program. These students meet the first Wednesday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday) from 6-7 pm pm in the large classroom in the Parish Hall. Each month they will attend their class that focuses on the Sacrament of Confirmation. These students are required to complete 20 hours of community service, attend a retreat, and have good attendance (missing no more than two classes).

How to Sign Up: Attend our Registration Day on Sunday, Aug 10th after the 10:00 am mass, grab a registration packet in the back of the Church, email tpredmore@shmbarling.org, or register online. Registration fee is $20.

**If you are in Confirmation year 1 (9th grade) - please see the PRE tab for the class schedule

  • Sep 3 - First class **parent meeting at 5:30

  • Oct 1

  • Nov 5

  • Dec 3

  • Jan 7 

  • Feb 4

  • Mar 4

  • Apr 1

  • May 6

  • May 12th 5:30 confessions and 6:00 Confirmation rehearsal. Sponsors should attend also

  • May 13th at 6:00 Confirmation & Reception to follow

      • *individual and group pictures will be taken at 5 or 5:30 (exact time to be determined)

    MANDATORY Confirmation retreat date TBA

    Please make sure to turn in Baptismal and 1st Communion records to Tia Marsh, Tammy Predmore, or the church office NO LATER than December 1st. 

    20 service hours are also due by April 1st.
