Parish Religious Education Preschool-9th Grade (Confirmation I) and Confirmation II

Sacred Heart of Mary is a place for you and your family to grow in your Catholic Faith. One of the ways you can do that is through our Parish Religious Education Classes. We offer classes for kids from Pre-K to Adult. Check out our Faith Formation page for more information on adult education.

Classes for Pre-K to 8th grade, First Communion , and Confirmation Year 1 (typically 9th grade) begin Sunday, September 13th at 11:00 am in the classrooms of our Parish Hall. Confirmation Year II will start on Wednesday September 2nd at 6pm in the Parish Hall.

First Communion:
– First Communion Year I starts in the first grade. Students must complete FC I with decent attendance and knowledge of prayers before beginning First Communion Year II.

– First Communion Year II begins in the second grade and only after a child completes FC I

Confirmation:

-Confirmation I typically starts in 9th grade, unless otherwise approved by Tammy Predmore and students must have had regular attendance.

-Confirmation II meets on the first Wednesday of the Month starting September 2nd.

How to Sign Up: Click the link below to register your child. Registration opens July 1st. Registration fee is $20.

Parent Meeting: A parent meeting will be held on August 30th after the 10am Mass. It is very important to attend this meeting.

2027:

  • January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st

  • February 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

  • March 7th, 14th

  • April 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

  • May 2nd, 9th (End of year class party)

First Communion Schedule

First Communion classes will meet during the above PRE class times.

First Communion retreat - February 27, 2027, 10am-2pm

First Communion - Saturday, April 24, 2027, Reception will follow

Confirmation II Schedule

Confirmation Class: September 2nd, October 7th, November 4th, December 2nd, January 6th, February 3rd, March 3rd, April 7th,
May 4th (Confirmation Practice)

Mandatory Confirmation Retreat: March 13th, 1pm-7pm. Students will be required to provide 20 hours of documented service hours at this retreat.

Confirmation - Wednesday May 5, 2027, 6pm
